Mrs. Jessie Blankenship, 71 of Elk Valley, died early Tuesday morning at LaFollette Community Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Elk Valley.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Lilly of Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Leona Jones of Corbin, Ky., Mrs. Murline Smith of Russell Springs, Ky., six sons, Dempsey of West Land, Mich., Lloyd of California, Cannie of Elk Valley, Donald of Melford, Ohio, Wilson of Fayetteville, N.C. and Kalcey of Caryville; 33 grandchildren and [13?/18?] great-grandchildren and two nieces, Mrs. Florence Crawford of Warren, Mich., Mrs. Louise Douglas of Detroit, Mich; one nephew, Marvin Douglas of Detroit, Mich.
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at Hill Crest Baptist Church by the Rev. Paul Heatherly. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery in Elk Valley.
