Funeral Services Held For Accident Victim
Funeral services for Foster Barry, 60, of Jackson Township, who was killed when struck by a truck on the highway near his home, June 30th, were held from the Buffington Funeral Home, Elizabethville, last Friday afternoon. Rev. H. S. Kieffer, pastor of Trinity United Brethren Church, town, officiated, and interment was made in the Grand View Cemetery, at Enders.
Mr. Barry was a son of Mr. & Mrs. George Barry, and was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson Township. He was a member of the United Brethren Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Charlotte Paul Barry, two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Susan Spangler, Dauphin; Mrs. Clara Kocher, and Daniel Barry, Halifax, R. D., and Raymond Barry, at home. Other survivors are four grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Jacob Reichel, of Progress and Mrs. William Welker, of Geneva, Ohio; and one brother, Frank Barry, of Harrisburg.
The accident occurred on the Elizabethville - Fisherville highway, about three miles south of this place.
Motor Police of the Lykens substation reported that the truck was operated by Brewer Leatherman, of Hagerstown, Md., R. D. No. 5.
