Death of Patsy Jean Reno Follows Automobile Accident Sunday Night

An automobile accident at 9:15 Sunday night caused the death of Patsy Jean Reno, two-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. G. Reno who live East of Madisonville on Highway 21. Mr. and Mrs. Reno and two children, Patsy Jean and Gary Lynn, were travelling East on Highway 21 when about seven or eight miles West of Madisonville, Mr. Reno was blinded by the lights of an approaching car; he lost control of the automobile, which left the highway and turned over in the ditch.
Mrs. Reno and the children were thrown from the car, Patsy Jean was the only member of the family injured and she was brought to the Madison County Hospital by a passing motorist where she died at 1:45 Monday morning.
Patsy Jean was born at Houston, May 12, 1951. The family has been living in Madisonville for several months; Mr. Reno is employed by the McCaffety Construction Company.
She is survived by her parents; one brother, Gary Lynn; grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Reno of Phelps, Bill Hearn of Anahuac; and Mrs. Evie Purvis of Hockley and her great-grand parents Mr. and Mrs. John O. Grounds of Crockett.
Funeral services were conducted at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery at 3:00 p. m. August 4, with Rev. Jimmie Richie, pastor of the Central Baptist Church, Burial was in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery under of the direction of Riddle Funeral Home. Pallbearers were employees of the McCaffety Construction Company.
