Mrs. Hutchison worked as an licensed practical nurse for A. Barton Hepburn Hospital for 30 1/2 years, retiring in November 1991, and continued working per diem until January 1997. She also did some private-duty nursing. She was an active bowler for many years and was a former member of the Seaway Valley 600 club and a member of the Women of the Moose of Ogdensburg. She enjoyed crocheting, playing the lottery and horse racing.
She first married Ronald R. Johnson. The marriage ended in divorce. She married Edward M. Hutchison on June 5, 1976, at the White Church of Lisbon with the Rev. Walter F. Smith officiating.
Surviving besides her husband are a son and his wife, Joseph and Carol Johnson, Ogdensburg; a daughter and her husband, Debbie and Tim Burke, Ogdensburg; three stepsons and a stepdaughter-in- law, Daniel Hutchison , Hobbs, N.M., Timothy Hutchison , Glens Falls, and Christopher and Emily Hutchison , Utah; two brothers, Richard LaFlair, Ogdensburg, and Howard LaFlair, Laughlin, Nev.; a sister, Margaret Monnet, Port Orange, Fla.; three grandsons, three stepgrandchildren, two step-great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
