Earle B. Ellison was born May 12, 1901, in Winthrop, son of Luther Earle and Maude Stearns Ellison. He attended schools in Brasher and Stockholm and was a 1920 graduate of Canton High School. He graduated from Canton Agricultural Technical College in 1923 and later attended Eastman School of Music, Rochester. After college, he moved to Saranac Lake.

He married Ione Benson on June 30, 1928, at the home of the bride's parents in Saranac Lake with the Rev. Dr. Harry Townsend officiating. That year, the couple moved to Ogdensburg where they resided until moving to Heuvelton in 1952. Mrs. Ellison died Feb. 13.

Mr. Ellison worked for Utica Plumbing as a sales representative for 43 years. His sales region covered towns from Rouses Point to Watertown. During his career at Utica Plumbing, he designed for schools and churches. He retired in 1970.

A member of First Presbyterian Church, Ogdensburg, where he was an elder, trustee and choir member, Mr. Ellison was also a charter member of Pro Musica Choral Group, Ogdensburg, and a member of Theta Gamma Alpha.

Surviving are a daughter, Jean E. Ellison , Durham, N.H.; two sons, Richard E., Temecula, Calif., and David L., East Berne; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
