Jesse Foot was a Revolutionary War patriot.

His parents were Ichabod Foot and second wife, Damaris Finch. Around 1777, he married Rachel Benedict in Danbury, Connecticut. Their children were Anna, Jabez, Ruth, Charity, Damaris, Jesse Finch and Hannah Foot.

Jesse Foote married second in 1804, Elizabeth Taylor, possibly daughter of James Taylor. She survived him and died 17 April 1844, age 87.

Note: One record shows death on June 24, and his final Revolutionary War Pension Payment shows a death of June 23, but the date on the stone looks more like June 21, 1842.

On this 3rd day of July 1850 it was proved by the adduction of the annexed testimony which is satisfactory to said Court that Jesse Foot a pensioner of the United States died in said County on the twenty third day of June in the Year one thousand eight hundred and forty two and his widow died about eighteen months thereafter, that the following named are the only children of the said Jesse Foot that are now living viz. Anna Tooker, Jabez Foot, Damaris Day and Jesse F Foot adn each of them are over twenty years of age.----
