Edith was the fifth of six children born to Rev. Jacob Robert and Mary (Durham) Moose. She was never married.

Succumbs to Lingering Illness

Miss Edith K. Moose, age, 27, daughter of Mrs Mary Moose, of 543 South Aycock street died at 10:45 o'clock Friday morning at the Guilford sanatorium, where she had been a patient for the last eight months. She had been in ill health for the last eight years.
Born in Korea on March 17, 1904 Miss Moose lived in the orient during her childhood. She was a graduate of the University of North Carolina and a member of College Place Methodist church.
Surviving is her mother and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ostrokin, of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Nancy Chaney, of Cranford, New Jersey. The body was removed to the Hanes Funeral home where it will be held until funeral arrangements are completed.

Last Rites Held for Miss Moose

The funeral service for Miss Edith K. Moose, age 27, daughter of Mrs. Mary Moose, of 543 Aycock street, who died Friday morning at the Guilford sanatorium was held at Hanes Funeral home at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon with Rev. G. T. Bond, pastor of College Place Methodist church officiating. Interment followed in Green Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dr. J. E. Wyche, J. M. Hunt, W. I. Maynard, R. T. Level, W. R. Kimbro and H. E. Phelps.
