REV. J. R. MOOSE

The Rev. Jacob Robert Moose, 64, died last night at his home, 543 Aycock street, following an extended illness. Some years ago he suffered a paralytic stroke and never recovered from the effects of the attack.
Mr. Moose served in the Korean mission fields for 25 years, going as a missionary from the Methodist church in 1899. In 1924 he was stricken while in the field and had to return to the United States. For the past three years he has been kept in bed much of the time. His work in the Korean fields won him the esteem and respect of the natives of that country and under his leadership the work of the mission was greatly expanded.
Surviving are his wife, formerly Miss Mary Durham; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Goodman, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Nancy Cheney, Cranford, N.J.; and Miss Edith Moose, Greensboro and one son, Robert Moose, Greensboro; also one brother W. J. Moose, Greensboro.
Funeral arrangements had not been completed this afternoon, but it was expected the services will be held sometime Friday with interment in Green Hill Cemetery.
