Sue Anne passed away Thursday, November 25, 2004, in Shreveport, LA, after a long, courageous battle with Leukemia. She endured visits to MD Anderson with her husband in search of a cure. She was surrounded by her loving family when she went to her eternal home.
She was born September 30, 1948 to Edward and Lois McDonald in Meridian, MS. Mrs. Ladatto was a graduate of Northwestern University. She retired from Lucent Technologies after years of faithful service.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward McDonald.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Donnie Ladatto; mother, Lois McDonald; daughter, Lesa Suanne Petrus Townsend and husband Trey; and grandson Nick Gavin Townsend; and daughter, Wendi Lois Petrus and fiancé Scott Grabener; sister, Cathy McDonald Sublutt; step-children, Mindy Ladatto, Dawn Ladatto Pacheco and husband John, and Steve Ladatto and wife, Linda; grandchildren, Nick, Lauren, Rece, Paige, Dominic, Donte, Tasha; nephew, Shane E. Basinger; niece, Shelley L. Basinger; great nephew, Kyler; great nieces, Taylor, Jadyn, and Kinsley; and countless extended family members and friends; all of whom adored her.
Pallbearers will be Robert "Bob" Petrus, Richard Petrus, Chris Lefebvre, Jason Sepulvado, Kevin Lettau, and Justin Owen.
The family wishes to express their sincere love and heartfelt appreciation to Drs. Walker, Schuler, Woods, White, Coghlan, and all the nurses in critical care for their efforts and kindness; and also extend special thanks to the wonderful caring staff in outpatient chemotherapy and ICU Units at Willis Knighton Pierremont Hospital.
She was the heart of her family. She touched so many lives. She never met another person without leaving a lasting, warm impression. Her continuous care and devotion to her family exemplifies the very nature of her soul. She will be forever cherished in our hearts and will remain the light of our lives. She always gave everything of herself and was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend. "We will love you always, every day."
