Solomon was born in Hopewell Twp., old Hunterdon (now Mercer) Co., NJ, the son of Samuel Titus Sr. and Rebecca Johnson. He married Susannah Reed on 7 Apr. 1779 in Hopewell Twp.
Solomon served for ten months as a private in the Hunterdon County Militia during the Revolutionary War. He fought in the battles of White Plains and Monmouth. He was a deacon in the Presbyterian Church, Pennington, and died in Hopewell Twp.
