Maryland native, Civil War veteran in the Confederacy, attorney, and best known as an inventor. Elijah Bond patented the Ouija Board (No. 446,054) on February 10th 1891. He later recorded another trademark on a talking board called Nirvana on June 18th 1907.

--Front of Elijah Bond's gravestone-- Elijah Bond's unmarked grave was discovered in October of 2007 by Robert Murch. Murch then raised the funds to have a headstone carved which was installed in July of 2008.
