She was a daughter of Abner Cave (b. abt 1785, d. bef 1870) and Elizabeth "Betsy" Sims. She was the wife of Abner Cave (1809-1854). They were the parents of: Jefferson Franklin Cave (1834-1904); Mary Ann Cave Cook (b. 1838); Robert Wesley Cave (1840-1919); Elizabeth Phonecia Cave Gibson (1842-1883); Molevia Sims Cave Allen (1844-1920); Permelia Sims Cave Goodpasture (1845-1902); Ophelia Mariah Cave Miles (1848-1916); and Marion "Green" Cave (1852-1891).

Abner's place of burial is unknown. He is believed to have died in Barry Co., MO in 1854.

NOTE: Ophelia's second husband was Henry P. Lively. They were married Nov. 1870. He died Oct. 1875.

Logically she would be buried under the name Ophelia Lively, but there is an extant record indicating she was buried under the name Ophelia Cave.

Information on her burial location was found in Hart Co., KY Cemetery Records Transcription (call #976.902 H325CE) in the KY Historical Society Research Room at the KY History Center, Frankfort, KY. She is listed in the transcription as Ophrlia (sic) Cave. Please see included image of that record.
