Magdalene M. Bentz, 92, Tampa, died May 12, 2008, at Midland Hospice House, Topeka.
Born Nov. 19, 1915, on a farm near Tampa, she was the daughter of Gerhard and Wilhelmine Meyer.
She was a 1934 graduate of Tampa Rural High School and graduated in 1938 from St. Louis Lutheran School of Nursing.
On June 7, 1942, she married Paul George Bentz. He died in 1965.
She also was preceded in death by her only son, Myron Paul Bentz.
Survivors include four daughters, Annita Huff and Marilyn Keeler, both of Topeka, Rosalie Lorson of Salina, and Gloria Schultz of Herington; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Herington Chapel, with the Rev. Troy Slater officiating.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Tampa, with the Rev. Clark Davis officiating.
Burial will be in North Tampa Cemetery.
Memorial funds have been established with Midland Hospice House, Topeka, or St. John's Lutheran Church, Tampa.
