Leonard was my 3rd cousin through his Mother, Angeline Durfee Driggs.
Leonard Ellsworth Driggs Jr. passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, of Heart Failure, surrounded by his family. He resided at 5308 South Baywood Circle (1885 East) in Holladay, Utah at the time of his death.

He was born Tuesday, February 9, 1932 to Leonard Ellsworth Driggs Sr. and Angeline Durfee. He married Helen West and together they raised 10 children. Leonard devoted his life to serving his family, church, friends and all those he met. In particular, he dedicated his life to working with young men. Leonard was a scoutmaster for over 50 years and influenced the lives of hundreds of scouts. He was also involved in the Utah Boys Ranch for many years. Leonard enjoyed a successful career as a State Farm insurance agent. He loved spending time with his family and in his garden. Leonard brought a smile and warmth to everyone who knew him.

He was survived by his wife, Helen; his five sisters, Betty, Glenna, Maxine, Rose, and Bonnie; his 10 children, Julie (Todd) Kiser, Dan, Warren (Cindy), Jane (Paul) Taggart, Paul (Lori), David (Mary), Ben (Tiffany), Matt (Alison), Steve (Amy), Andy (Natalie); his 53 grandchildren; and his 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held on Monday, October 8, 2008 at 12:00 PM at the Cottonwood Twelfth Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 1750 East Spring Lane (5200 South) in Holladay, Utah. A Viewing was held on Sunday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Church and on Monday from 10:45-11:45 AM before the Funeral.
