Pedro Gutierrez died at the age of 70, following a short illness, at the New Hospice Center of St. Joseph, in Lorain, Ohio. He moved to Lorain, Ohio from Puerto Rico in the early 1960's. When he first settled in Lorain, Ohio, he picked tomatoes in a Greenhouse. He retired from Lake Terminal Railroad, wshere he worked in the Car Shop, after 17 years. He was one of the Founders of the San Lorenso Club. He enjoyed gardening and working around the house and feeding stray animals. He was preceded in death by his parents...His mother, Clemencia (Burgos) Gutierrez and his father, Ruperto Gutierrez, and a daughter, Evelyn Cruz. He is survived by: His wife of 43 years, Santa A. (Bazan) Gutierrez from Lorain, Ohio, two sons, Nicholas Cruz of McKinney, Texas, and Reynolds Cruz of Lorain, Ohio, 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, three brothers, Domingo Burgos Gutierrez of Lorain, Ohio, Francisco Burgos Gutierrez of Lorain, Ohio, and Justino Burgos Gutierrez of Puerto Rico, plus four sisters, Iluminada Torres of Lorain, Ohio, Teresa Velez of Puerto Rico, Margarita Cruz of Puerto Rico, and Augustina Gutierrez of Puerto Rico.
