Note gravestone photograph taken by a cousin, who sent it to me 10 years ago and it was taken before digital cameras in the 1970's, if anyone has a better photograph, please let me know.

Ann (Christian) Brown's History:

Ann Christian is the daughter of John Christian and Jane Brower, she married Charles Brown & in 1800 they are living in German Flats, Herkimer County, NY. She is the mother of 11 known children. Her father John served in the Revolutionary War.

Her children are:

1. Sally Brown b. ca 1802 died in Ohio., m. Ambrose K. Lockwood, she died about 1833.

2. Charles Brown II, born cal Dec. 7th, 1806, died Jan 29th, 1851. Married Elizabeth Hotchkiss in 1831. He is listed on Find A Grave.

Brown, Charles Jr. died Jan. 29, 1851, age 44 yrs 1 mo 22 dys cal DOB is Dec. 7, 1806, buried Hall Cemetery, Lee, Oneida County, NY. Brown, Elizabeth, wife of Charles Brown, died Aug. 20, 1848, aged 33 yrs 5 mo 1 dy [Elizabeth Hotchkiss] DOB cal as 19 March 1815 per date calulator.

3. Phebe Brown b. 10 March 1810, married David Hotchkiss (brother of Eliz) about 1827- 9 children.

4. Lydia Brown b. 25 March 1814, married William Dickerson b. 1811, Lydia Brown died 30 Jul 1898.

5. Robert Brown, married Anna Sweet (she b. 1810-d. 1890 in Steuben County, IN).

6. George Brown b. 1815 -died July 8, 1848, aged 32 yrs 4 mos 24 dys-buried Lee, Oneida County, NY at Hall Cemetery, married Eliza Ann Dickerson b: 16 NOV 1816 in Herkimer Co., Norway, NY--George Brown cal DOB is Feb. 13, 1816. He is listed on Find A Grave.

7. Mary Ann Brown b. 1817-8 died 1874. Married James "Jami" Wilson , born Feb. 19th, 1813~ died 1887, both buried Conquest Cemetery, N.Y.~ no children per U S Brown & Will of 1861. (Mary Ann is second wife, first was Polly Freeland & he had a daughter, Bertha Wilson, who married Arthur Van Blaricum, brother of Harriet who married Harmon Gilson Brown & Mary who married Calvin Brown). James Wilson, Jr., Feb. 19, 1813, m. 1. Polly Freeland on March 23, 1834, she died 1841, they had: Bertha Wilson who married Arthur VanBlaricum.

8. Jane R. Brown b. 06 April 1821 in Mexico, Oswego County, NY, married Hoyt Smith. Jane died 28 Sep 1900 & Hoyt 16 Dec. 1888. Married Hoyt Smith born May 24, 1817 & died Dec. 16, 1888, both buried Flint, IN Cemetery, section B, Lot 10. No children. Listed on Find A Grave.

9. Thomas L. Brown b. 1824, married Elsa/Elsey/Elsie HALL-listed in 1850 Census with Charles & Polly Brown, & their son Henry Harrison Brown 4 years old. This family lived in IL after Thomas Brown died then moved to Elk, Nuckolls County, Nebraska. Unknown where and when Thomas Brown died, perhaps NY or Ohio. Son Henry Harrison Brown and mother moved to Elk, Nuckolls County and died there. He married Harriett Logan.

10. Calvin Brown, born 1821, recorded in 1860, Owasco, N.Y. Census, next to Harmon Brown. Wife listed is Mary Van Blaricum, sister of Harriet VanBlaricum who is married to Harmon, in Conquest, Cayuga. Calvin served in Civil War and died in Calhoun County, MI.

11. Harmon Gilson Brown b. Feb. 10th, 1830 in Mexico, Oswego County, NY-d. Aug. 20th, 1894 in Doland, Spink County, S.D. Married 3 times, 1st. Harriet Louise VanBlaricum, 1852-1865 2nd. Margaret "Maggie" Melissa Tanner from 1867-1878; 3rd. Carrie M. Wallin from 1879-1894, she outlived him, she died in 1920 in Kalamazoo, MI. Harmon lived in NY 1830-1869, then Steuben County, IN 1870-1881, then Doland, S.D. 1881-1894. He served in the 16th NY Heavy Artillary in the Civil War. Listed on Find A Grave.
