WHIPPLE

This community was startled Thursday afternoon by the sudden death of Charley E. Zumbro, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Zumbro.

He had been sick for some time with scarlet rash, but had gotten almost well, but last Saturday he was out in the rain a short time and Thursday morning was taken down and died at 1 o'clock.

At school Charley was always attentive to his books and never caused any trouble. He was loved and cherished by all, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Only four weeks ago he was in attendance at school and was one of the schoolboys, but now Death has taken him from us.

The bereaved family have the entire sympathy of the community.

We shall go home to our Father's house,
To our Father's house in the skies.
When the hope of our soul shall have no blight,
And our love no broken ties;
We shall roam on the bank of the River of Peace
And bathe in its blissful tide,
And one of the joys of our heaven shall be
The young man that died.
