John was son of William Harrison and Mary (Patterson) McLeod Crook. He married Matilda Hudson and Sarah "Sallie" Hensley.
He was also with Rachel Marcum.

I am not exactly clear as to where this cemetery is located but relatives say John was buried at Greenbriar, Manchester, KY.
