Three-year old Hellen [sic] Brackett is enumerated in the 1900 Census for York County, Maine as the daughter of 62-year-old Peter Brackett and his wife, Lizzie, aged 59. It is also indicated in that census that Lizzie is the Mother of only one child with one living. Since it is a known fact that their adopted daughter is still living at this time, it does seem doubtful that little Helen is actually their child. There are at least two different New Hampshire death records for little Helen, one saying she died in Nashua in Hillsborough County, and another saying she died in Biddeford, Maine.
