Sadie Virginia Hardin first married Joseph Wolfe Joseph, a baker of Greek descent (his parents emigrated from Turkey) and believed to have been of the Jewish faith.
She married her second husband, Harry Floyd Kelly, September 16, 1921 at Neosho, Newton County, Missouri, USA
Sadie died in 1936 some 6 hours after childbirth because of the flu. When Harry asked for help to bury his wife, many refused because of the flu epidemic. He built her a Burial Coffin, and brought it to the cemetery, dug the hole, and laid his wife's casket into the hole.
Survivors include her mother Dona Smith, her husband Harry, sons Harry, Gene, Allen & Victor, daughters Joyce & Vondajoy.
Their son, Victor Dale Kelly Memorial# 72735448, was adopted following the death of his parents in 1936 by a second cousin, Edward Joseph and Rhea Maxine (Frazier) Burke, on December 8, 1938. His adoption is recorded in Montgomery County, Kansas. Through the adoption process, his name was changed to Victor Kelly Burke, dropping his middle name, Dale.
