Brothers Shannon and Jacob Wilson were corporals in Company E, 120th Infantry Regiment of Ohio Volunteers, when they died of disease aboard the hospital boat "Nashville" which was moored at the time near Young's Point, LA. Previously they had participated in the January 1863 assault and capture of Fort Hindman, Arkansas Post, AR. Their parents were Clinton and Mary (Miller) Wilson who moved to Iowa after the Civil War. Jacob's widow, Edgar Fussilman, also later moved to Iowa and then married Thomas Robinson.
