She came to the United States in 1882, locating near Manchester, Kansas. She was united in marriage to Nathan Anthony in 1886. After several moves they settled in Abilene for the past twenty years.
She was brought up in the Lutheran church, but later transferred her membership to the Evangelical church.
Her husband preceded her in death August 1933. She leaves to mourn their loss, two sons William of Industry and Charles of Abilene; three sisters, Mrs. Hugg of Abilene, Mrs. Schetzer of California, and one sister in Germany; three grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
