Pilar Baeza, 78, Loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother, best friend, mentor and hero, passed away on June 7, 2008. Born to Luis Baeza & Ruperta Morales on October 12th, 1929 in Meoqui, Chihuahua. At age 18, Pilo came to the United States and became a bracero, where he met a beautiful young Juventina Martinez at a farm in New Mexico. They fell in love instantly, got married and raised a family of six children. Pilo met Belen Rascon and had a child of their own. Pilo's death came too soon by a disease he fought courageously for 15 years. He is survived by his daughter Maria Del Carmen, spouse Jimmy, grandsons Jr., Christopher, & Sebastian Dominguez, Fernando Baeza, wife Helena, and great-grandchild Natalie. His son Javier Baeza, wife Christi, and grandchild Delilah, son Hector Arturo Baeza, his wife Jacqueline, and grandchildren Celeste and Chito. His son and best friend Raul Baeza, son Gerardo Baeza, grandchildren Felicia and Joshua, daughter Hilda, spouse Fernando, and grandchildren Jackie and Jonathan. Grandson Alejandro Jr., his wife Brenda, and great-grandchildren Dylan and Samantha Baeza. Grandson Miguel Angel, great-grandchildren Miguelito and Gialynne Baeza. sister Carmen Alaniz and brother Elias Baeza. Pilar Baeza was truly a gift from God. His spirit, charisma, and his sense of humor will forever be missed. His passion for life touched everyone who knew him. lt was an honor to know him. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2008 from 4 to 9 PM at San Jose Funeral Home-East. Praying of the Rosary will start at 7 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 10970 Bywood at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Concordia Cemetery. Arrangements under direction of San Jose Funeral Home-East, 10950 Pellicano Dr. 915-590-8700.
