Mrs. Clora Watson Simpson, 89, widow of Harry Simpson entered into rest on Monday, June 9, 2008 at Mountain Lakes Hospital in Clayton, Georgia.
Visitation will be Wednesday June 11 at Evans-Carter Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 12 at 10:00. Graveside service at Center Hill Cemetery in Trenton, Florida.
Clo, as most everyone called her was born in Gilchrist County, Florida on November 17, 1919 to Jesse Pepher and Julia Victoria Guynn-Watson. She attended schools in Forest Grove and Newberry, Florida.
Clo worked with Civil Service, taking her to many states and Oversees to Korea and Japan. Returning home to High Springs, Florida started to work in the Post Office. After retiring from there she taught several genealogy classes at the University of Florida (non credit) and organizing the Alachua Genealogy Society.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother, Aubrey Watson and sister, Doris Watson-Glover. She is survived by one nephew, Craig Watson.
Clora was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served an 18 month mission in San Diego, California.
