Leslie C. Barcus, 85, of Hammond died February 21, 1982 in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur. Services were held at Born Funeral Home, Atwood with burial in Hammond Cemetery.
Mr. Barcus was born June 21, 1896 in Piatt County s//o Clarence and Nora Temple Barcus. He married Ada Day October 23, 1920. She survives along with a daughter: Alice (O.E.) Mickelberry, Decatur; three grandchildren; and a sister, Elva (Robert) Williams of Sullivan. A daughter, three grandchildren and two brothers preceded him in death.
Mr. Barcus was a member of the Hammond Church of Christ and the Masonic Lodge. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War I. Memorials may be made to the church.
