Marie Dorothy Frey, daughter of Henry and Ane Kristena (Jensen) Anderson, was born October 10, 1900, at Weeping Water, Nebraska. She passed way Sunday, December 20, 1998, at the Good Samaritan Center in Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 98 years, 10 months and 10 days.

She attended District 40 School northeast of Nelson.

Marie was a member of the Church of Christ in Superior. She was chairman of the Lawrence, Nebraska, area Democratic Party and was active in the Farmers Union from 1930-1935.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Arthur W. Frey, on August 8, 1976; two sons, Harold E. Frey and Arthur W. Frey, Jr.; four brothers, George, Morris, Albert and Alfred Anderson.

Survivors include one son, Col. Ivan "Rex" Frey of Newport News, Virginia; 15 grandchildren, five great grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 23, 1998, at 2 p.m., at Klawitter-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Nelson, Nebraska, with Pastor Mark Imel officiating. Music was "In The Garden" and "Heaven of Rest" with Carlita Price as organist. Interment was in Nelson Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Gene Ferebee and John Ferebee. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson was in charge of the arrangements.
