GEORGETOWN - Paul McCants, 82, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 1998, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 12, 1915, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late John and Gertrude Wilson McCants.
He retired as an insulator from International Paper Co. in 1977 after 34 years. He was a former member of the Georgetown Moose Lodge and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was owner and operator of Lafayette Restaurant and a member of Maryville Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include his wife, Katie C. McCants; a son, Jackie McCants of Georgetown; a daughter, Brenda Gordon of Georgetown; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at Graham Funeral Home of Georgetown.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
