TISHOMINGO Services for Mildred "Mickey" Calhoun, 89, will be at 10 a.m. today, June 29, 2007, at Clark Funeral Chapel with Father Thomas O'Toole officiating. Interment will be at Tishomingo Cemetery. Born on Nov. 6, 1917, in Moore, Okla., to Henry and Anna Dreessen, she died on June 25, 2007, in Oklahoma City. She and Walt Calhoun were married on May 8, 1939, in Norman, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 22, 1984; her parents; brother, Howard; sister, Coletta Ulrich; and granddaughter, Kimberley Ann Hart.
She graduated from Moore High School and moved to Norman where she was married and lived for several years before moving to Tishomingo. She was fun loving, enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing bridge, and wintering in Mission, Texas. Most of all she enjoyed her family. She loved to laugh, many times at herself, about the humorous things she had done.
She is survived by daughters, Donna Lawley and her husband, Jerry, Tishomingo, Carole Hart Thompson, Laguna Niguel, Calif., and Beckie Calhoun, Tishomingo; sisters, Imogene Stuhr, Rita Eaves and her husband, Leonard, and Bernita Thornhill and her husband, Cecil, all of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Jerry Lynn Lawley, Corpus Christi, Texas, and Kelli Renee Gleichman and husband, Eric, Edmond; five great-grandchildren, Brad Lawley, Jennifer Jackson, Kristen Lawley, Michael Levine and Carolyne Renee Lawley; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Brad Lawley, Jerry Lynn Lawley, Jerry Lawley, Eric Gleichman, Michael Levine and Gordon Thornhill.
Honorary bearers are Marcus Landrum, Gene Lafitte, Harold Winburn, Dr. Clyde Kindell, Leonard Eaves and Cecil Thornhill.
