Daughter of Oscar Thomas and Blanche May Myers, she graduated from Cherokee High School in Cherokee, OK. She married Jimmy Lloyd "Peanuts" Brown on September 1, 1946, in Alva, OK. They made their home in Cherokee. She was a member of the Cherokee Friends Church. She retired after many years from Liberty Federal Savings and Loan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy, on May 30, 2003, and also by two brothers and two sisters. She was survived by a son, Michael Brown, and a daughter, Machele Guin; two granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; nieces and nephews; and an extended family of relatives and friends. Her funeral was held June 7, 2008 at the Cherokee Friends Church with The Rev. Ken Keeling and The Rev. John Havens officiating.
