Carroll died Jan. 9, 2004 at his home in Tacoma after a 3-month bout with cancer. Born April 22, 1919 in Burns, OR to Ellis and Mary Bennett. He married Marian Louden, May 16, 1942. He re-tired as a Major after serving 20 years in the Air Force as a pilot in three wars, including P51 fighter pilot in WWII. After retirement he became a flight instructor, worked for BLM, and he and Marian served two missions for the LDS Church. Survived by his wife Marian; daughters Carolyn (Roy), Kathy (Tom); sons Roger (Vickie), Jeffrey (Starleen); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Military Honors will be held Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 3 PM at Tahoma National Cemetery, followed by memorial service at 5 PM at the Parkland LDS Church.
