Mr. Cleon S. Boomershine, a Dayton postoffice employe 33 years before retirement because of poor health, died October 16, 1954 at Brown hospital, Veterans administration Center. He was a former resident of Farmersville, born February 12, 1895 at Farmersville, a son of the late Charles M. and Bessie Scott Boomershine.
At the time of retirement, he was supervisor of the VAC branch postoffice. He was a member of St. Peter's church. He was a World War I veteran, serving in Battery E of the 322nd Field Artillery in the Meuse-Argonne Defensive Sector.
Surviving are his wife, Eva; three daughters, Mrs. Robert )Bonna Lee) Behnken of Brookville, and Violette and Ramona Boomershine, both at home, and three sisters, Mrs. Esther Garwood of Farmersville, Mrs. Norma Nunlist of Eaton and Mrs. Thelma Venus of Dayton.
