He moved from Denton, Texas, to Virginia. He died from anesthesia during an appendectomy. They appear in the 1920 census of Faulkner County, Arkansas, resided in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 1923, and in the 1930 census they were in San Antonio, Texas. Joe Yerion Aker, was a teacher. She set up the Home Economics Department at SMU in Dallas. She died of Parkinson's disease.
