Billy E. Ailstock

HINTON — Billy E. Ailstock, 90, of Hinton, died Friday, May 30, 2008, at the Summers Nursing and Rehab Center at Hilldale, following a long illness.

Born July 8, 1917, at Hinton, he was the son of the late Wylie S. and Maycle Vest Ailstock.

Billy was a retired Mail Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, he was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hinton, he was an All-State Football Player at Hinton High School in the mid-1930s and was always known for his fun-loving nature and friendliness to all who knew him.

Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Hannon Ailstock, in 2002.

He is survived by one nephew, Richard Ailstock of Mechanicsville, Va.; his friends and caregivers, Phyllis Bowling and Wanda Lively, both of Hinton; and longtime loyal friends, Richard and Gemma Leftwich of Hinton.

Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hinton with Father Arthur Bufogle as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Greenbrier Burial Park in Hinton.

Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton from 6 to 8 p.m. today with the Vigil Prayer Service being held at 7:30 p.m.

Friends will serve as pallbearers.
