Funeral services for Delbert Joe "Goob" Denney were held Saturday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Lee officiating. Burial was in Memorial Hill Cemetery with Marshall Funeral Home in charge. He was born on November 10, 1910 in Berryville, Arkansas to Burton and Ora May (Littrell) Denney. He died on March 19, 1980 at Clapper Memorial Medical Center. He married Minnie Ruth McMoran on April 10, 1937 in Perryton, Texas. Survivors are his wife; his son, James Albert Denney; his brother, Gareld Lorus Denney; his sisters, Shirley Joy Davidson and Edna Fay Olson; and three grandchildren.
