H. Frank Brunton, 91, of East Wenatchee, died Thursday, July 24, 1997, in Highline Convalescent Center.

He was born Aug. 6, 1905, to Walter and Flora (Quiett) Brunton at New Plymouth, Idaho. He moved with his family to the Wenatchee Valley in 1908, where he was raised and educated. He graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1924. Following his graduation he attended Wenatchee Business College for two years.

On Nov. 1, 1930, he married Grace Kluge at Spokane and they made their residence at Wenatchee.

Mr. Brunton worked as a fruit inspector for the state Horticulture Department. he worked there until his retirement in 1969. Upon his retirement he enjoyed working in his garden and at home in his wood shop.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; one son, Loren Brunton of East Moline, Ill.; one daughter, Lorraine Kile of Entiat; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

At Mr. Brunton's request there will not be a public funeral service. A private family service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
