Born the son of Alvin Eppie Flowers (1879 – 1971) and Emaline Lissie Bouknight (1876 – 1975), he married Dorothy Lou Langford (1921 – 2002) and their children were Gerald Lee Flowers (1939 – 1939 who died at three weeks old), Betty Jann Flowers (1941 – 2005), and Sue Ann Flowers born 1947. The Flowers family lived in Dallas, Lubbock, Houston and finally in DeSoto, Texas after moving from Latch as young marrieds. Mr. Flowers was an executive with Oak Farms Dairies in Dallas and Houston and again in Dallas before his retirement. He and his family were active in the Nazarene Church.
