Perley was born January 1879, probably in Jefferson County,Ms. She was in the 1880 Jefferson County census with her parents, age 6/12-born January.(Beat 5,June 14.) In the 1900 Dallas census, she is absent from her parents home.

Both sisters were married in thier mother's obituary in January 1917. In August 1917, sister Sarah Ersuline Howard has died. Her father died in 1923, brother Christropher in 1944, he went by Bert-(67711498), and brother Henry B. died in October 1951-103012297. Mother,Father and all the children are buried in Oakland Cemetery, Dallas.

She married Mr. Reaves Willis Hicks,her first husband, at the age of 15, about 1902. They had one son, Frank T. Hicks,Sr.

Her second marriage was to J.Luther Bradshaw. On her gravestone says, Pearl Bradshaw. The Texas Death Index, 1903-2000 list her as Pearly Derena, Dallas, Texas. She died Auguast 29 1955. Death Certificate # 38355. She is buried in Oakland Cemetery Dallas, Section 19, Tier,9, Grave 5.

In 1920 Dallas Texas she is found married to J. Luther Bradshaw (age 42, b. Illinois). Pearl Bradshaw is listed as 40 years old, born Mississippi. Also in their household is, 44 year old Bert Walters.(Perley's brother.) Part of the info from KBound.
