"Plane Hostess Fulfilled Wish Of School Days

Stewardess Who Died, Pilot and Co-Pilot All Made Homes in Dallas

Sunday's fatal air crash at Oklahoma City brought to a sudden halt the career of a 25-year-old Dallas woman, hostess on the plane, and sent two Dallas men, pilot and co-pilot to a hospital.

Louise Zarr, hostess, a resident of Dallas for the last five years, spent many of her school days dreaming of becoming an airplane hostess, friends said. She was born at Temple, Bell County, Dec. 10, 1913. She was known to many regular travelers over the Braniff system since she was employed in August 1937. She was 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighed 106 pounds.

She was graduated in January, 1931, from the Tyler High School, attended the Tyler Junior College for a year, and was graduated from Tyler Commercial College. Interested in Latin-Amearican relations, she was an ardent student of Spanish and a member of the Spanish Club at high school. She also was a member of the pep squad.

During her high school and junior college days she was a member of the Scholastic Honor Society. She was a member of a Methodist Church in Tyler.

Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Zarr of Waco; two sisters, Mrs. J.C. Towle and Miss Irene Zarr of Waco, and two brothers, Edgar Zarr and Albert Zarr, both of Waco. She lived with Mrs. and Mrs. Towle here at 3402 Wylie.

Funeral services will be held at the George A. Brewer Funeral Chapel at 4 p.m. Monday, the Rev. Marshall T. Steel officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Claude Seaton, injured pilot, lives at 4415 Bluff View Boulevard. Born in Latham, Mo., in 1907, he first flew at Kansas City, at the time of the crash had 7,500 hours of flying time to his credit. He began his service with Braniff in 1931. His is married, has no children.

Malcolm Wallace, injured copilot, lives at the Ricardo Apartments, 2309 Alice. He was born in Houston in 1913, was graduated from the Army flying schools at Randolph Field and Kelly Field, and began working for Braniff in August, 1938. He is not married."
