Funeral service for Mrs. T. J. Bottoms, 84, who died Saturday morning at 5:30 o'clock at her home, Athens Rt. 4, following a long illness, were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence.
The Rev. Mr. Pitton of Florence officiated. Interment was in Bottoms Cemetery, McConnell directing.
Surviving are the husband; two daughters, Mrs. Robert L. Butler of Woodville and Miss Mollie Ruth Bottoms, Edmond, Okla; five sons, Burrel H. Bottoms, Rt. 4, Gilbert A. Bottoms, Billingham, Wash., Dr. R. R. Bottoms, Louisville, Ky., the Rev. E. H. Bottoms, Leonardsville, N.Y., and the Rev. Ary T. Bottoms of Gurley. Twenty-five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Bottoms, a member of the Seventh Day Baptist Church, had lived in Limestone County for 32 years.
Daughter of John Joseph Gilbert and Holly Duke Murphy.
Married Thomas Jefferson Bottoms on February 21, 1883 in Fayette Co, Georgia.
