She was born in Waycross, Georgia. Her father was William Martin Sweat. Her mother was Cynthia Douglas. She married David Leon Kinlaw. She lived in Georgia and Atlanta when her husband went to pharmacist school and some thereafter. They moved to Miami, Dade County Florida in the 1920's

She had two daughters. She sadly had two sons who died as infants.

Elva Oletha Kinlaw MOONE 1908-2004 died in New York My mother.

Audrey Kinlaw RIDGE PEARSON 1911-1994 died in Fort Lauderdale. My aunt.
