Dr. Fritz D. Yealy, 78, of Latrobe, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, in the Latrobe Area Hospital.
He was the son of the late Charles and Marian (Pryce) Yealy, who resided in Derry. Prior to his retirement, Dr. Yealy was a dentist in Latrobe for over 38 years.
He was a member of the Latrobe Presbyterian Church, a 50 year member of Richmond Lodge 230 F&AM, the Derry American Legion Post 324, a life member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge 907 and a member of the Ligonier Historical Society.
He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Helen (Stewart) Yealy; three children, Susan P. Yealy of Boynton Beach, Fla., David S. Yealy and his wife, Pamela, of Alpharetta, Ga., and Dana A. Yealy and his wife, Sarah, of Wexford, Pa.; six grandchildren, Corey, Katie, Carlyle, Kristen, and Megan Yealy, and Jason Lee.
Friends will be received at the HARTMAN-GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in Unity Chapel, Unity Township, with the pastors of the Latrobe Presbyterian Church officiating. (EVERYONE IS ASKED TO PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO UNITY CHAPEL). Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery. Masonic services will be held Saturday at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Adams Memorial Library, 1112 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650.
