Rufus Green Allen. 61. resident of Brooker, died in Starke Monday while enroute to a hospital after suffering a heart attack. He was born in Bullock County. Georgia and had lived at Brooker for eight years, where he was engaged in farming.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Scott, Jacksonville, Mrs. Rosie Lee Padgett and Mrs. Mary Padgett, Gainesville; two sons, Roy D. of Jacksonville, and Carl B, U. S. Air Force, Shreveport, La.; three brothers, J. L of Timmonsville, Ga., F. K. and W. L of Statesboro, Ga.; and one sister, Mrs. Viola Brannen. Savannah, Ga.
Funeral services were held in the Brooker Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock with Rev. C. F. Padgett officiating. Interment was in Dedan Cemetery under the direction of DeWitt C. Jones.
