She was baptized in infancy & was confirmed in the doctrines of the Evangelical Lutheran church in Mt. Calvary congregation, Shenandoah county, Va. by Rev. D. E. Snapp. She was married to L. A. Dirting 27 Mar 1884. She leaves a husband, one child, father & mother, 2 brothers & a number of relatives & friends to mourn her departure. In the absence of her pastors, Revs. Wike & Conder, the writer conducted the funeral services at Union Forge near Edinburg, Va. 31 Dec 1896, before an unusually large audience.
