Wellington Ainsworth, 88, of Fort Gratiot, Michigan, died April 29, 2008. He was born December 12, 1919 in Port Huron to the late Ralph and Pearl Ainsworth. He married Florence Donaldson on December 18, 1943 in Port Huron.
Mr. Ainsworth was a lift truck operator at the Seaway Terminal. He enjoyed walking the dog.
He was survived by his wife of 64 years, Florence; a son, Harold (Karen) Ainsworth of Fort Gratiot; a daughter, Janet (Tom) Bilyeu of Port Huron; a stepson, Gary (Bette) Donaldson of Fargo; a stepdaughter, Beverly Donaldson of Port Huron; a sister, Eileen (Charles) Erbe of Port Huron; 13 grandchildren, Tim (Pam) Ainsworth, Chris (Joe) Bennett, Sara (Jeff) Ainsworth, Bob (Sue) Donaldson, Bill (Anne) Donaldson, Debbie (Joe) Dams, Vicki (Jo) Martinez, Mark (CJ) Fowler, Jeff (Sue) Fowler, John McNeil, Tom Bilyeu Jr., Laura Bilyeu and Janie Bilyeu; 34 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; several step grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and his dog, Cocoa.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Elret, Sigma and Ed Ainsworth; a daughter-in-law, Lois Ainsworth; and a great grandson, Curtis Justin Ainsworth.
Funeral services: Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, Marysvill, Michigan. Dwight Murphy, Heartland Hospice Chaplain officiated. Pallbearers were his grandchildren.
