LOCKLIN

Annie Maye Hayman Locklin died January 30, 2004. A long time resident of Shepherd, she was born in San Jacinto County on December 3, 1913. Her parents were John Benjamin Hayman and Bertha Annie Ham Hayman.

Annie Maye's career as an elementary school teacher spanned 38 years. Her initial teacher training was done at Sam Houston State University and Houston University. She taught in San Jacinto, Liberty and Milam Counties.

Annie Maye was preceded in death by husband George H. Locklin and her three brothers, Alvin Hayman, Milam Hayman and Clyde Hayman; four sisters Bertha Lee Jordan, Lillian Hayman, Nona Young and Clara Curry.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland was in charge of the arrangements.
