OBITUARY
January 2, 1958 "Freedom Call"
Freedom, Oklahoma
Clyde Lee Carver, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Carver, was born on April 16, 1897 in Creek Indian Nation, Oklahoma Territory, near Stroud, and departed this life on December 24, 1957 at Osteopathic Hospital in Alva at the age of 60 years, 8 months and 8 days. He came to the Freedom community with his parents at the age of 3 years and lived here his entire life. He was united in marriage to Lucy Luella Davidson on June 24, 1922. To this union was born four children, one son and three daughters. He is survived by his wife, Lucy, of the home; his four children, Zella Mae Roller of Osborn, Idaho, Neoma Williams of Coldwater, Kansas, Joseph Carver of the home, and Jewel Nelson of Laverne; his mother, Lizzie Carver of Freedom; his brother, Edward Carver of Freedom; his four sisters, Hazel Gay of Amarillo, Texas, Inez Clothier of Portland, Oregon, Leone Powers of Boise, Idaho, and Geneva Shurts of Freedom; seven grandhildren; and many other relatives and friends. Mr. Carver was a veteran of World War I and a member of American Legion Post No. 63 in Freedom.
