Her birth record is under the name of "Helen Inez Green". She is listed on the 1930 Census as Katherine I(nez) Green, and as Katherine Green on the 1940 Census. Her name was formally changed to Betty Katherine Green sometime in her teens. (I have lost track of the document that had the exact date on it.)

Services for Betty Katherine Polvadore, 76, of Ralls were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2001, at the Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Bartley officiating.
Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mrs. Polvadore died Thursday, July 26, 2001 at Home Again in Ralls.

She was born March 22, 1925, in Crosby County. She married Elton Polvadore on Aug. 13, 1959, in Roswell, N.M. He died Jan. 17, 1990.

She was a graduate of Ralls High School, Howard Payne University and Texas Tech. She taught third grade in Ralls from 1967 to 1969. She also was an artist and musician and had lived in Crosby County most of her life.

Survivors include three sons, Richard Smith of Eugene, Ore., Tim Smith of Ralls and Win Polvadore of Nacogdoches; a brother, Cecil Green Jr. of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
