Mary Lou "Sis" Crager, 79, of St. Paul, died at 5:38 a.m., Sunday, May 18, 2008, at Labette Health in Parsons.

She was born September 2, 1928, in St. Paul, to George and Adelia (Brazil) McAtee. She grew up and attended schools there graduating from St. Francis High School.

She and Joseph Crager were married January 5, 1952, at St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul. Following marriage, they moved to Wichita where they lived until 1963 at which time they returned to St. Paul. She worked at Beachner Construction for 30 years before retiring in 1997.

She enjoyed traveling, quilting, playing cards and was an avid sports fan. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul, its Alter Society, and Daughters of Isabella.

SURVIVORS: Two Sons – Tom Crager Tulsa, OK Jerry Crager St. Paul, KS Five Daughters – Marilyn McClure Mulberry, KS Judy Mauer Topeka, KS Patty Beachner St. Paul, KS Cathy McMillan Wichita, KS Karen Wiseman Belle Plaine, KS Seventeen Grandchildren Nine Great-Grandchildren Two Brothers – Leonard McAtee St. Paul, KS Gene McAtee Gardner, KS One Sister - Margie Crager St. Paul, KS

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Crager, on October 12, 1984; five brothers, Don, Harold, Paul, Jim and George W. McAtee; and one sister, Katie Smith.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. The parish Rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at the Church. The family will receive friends following the Rosary. The Daughters of Isabella Rosary will be held at 3:30 p.m., at the Church.

Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Catholic Church or Prairie Mission Retirement Village. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
