West Virginia, USA
|Death: ||Apr. 24, 1870|
Eunice was an orphan, shipped to Alton for adoption either from the east on an "orphan train," or up the river on a barge from the south, taken in by someone who needed a worker. Either way, her early years sound bleak.
First wife of Isom Henry Antrobus, Eunice died young from complications from birthing twins; one twin is buried with Eunice, the other perhaps lived a few days and was buried beside her. Mother of Nancy Livenia Antrobus Gaffney, Sarah Adeline Antrobus Handlin, and William Henry Antrobus. Courtesy of Howard Antrobus.
