Bertha was the daughter of the late W.O. and Emma Jane (Brown) Fisher.
She owned the Waterloo Dairy Queen from 1958 to 1964, was also a former employee of Marshall Clothing Company, Butler, The Messenger Corporation, Auburn, and Ricke Corp, Auburn. She was a former member of Cedar Lake Church of Christ; member of Christ Church of Georgetown; and member of Butler Eastern Star Forrest Chapter 44.
